This groups meets once a month - usually the third Thursday of the month at 10.00am - however there is flexibility required because different times and days suit the wildlife better at times (Such as when we do an evening trip to Stubbs Mill at Hickling).
We have over the last few years visited a whole range of sites some of which you have to pay for and many that are free. Members of the group are advised to have NWT and RSPB membership to ensure most of the sites are free. We have at times followed a research theme such as when we looked at Cranes in Norfolk and visited various sites as well as having a session in the barn to discuss our research.
There are some knowledgeable people in the group but most of us are on a steep learning curve in respect of learning about the Norfolk locations as well as identifying the species. Hickling NWT site is our nearest and we do visit two or three times a year we have been as far as Pensthorpe this year.
Some visits require more walking than others, please check the Newsletter for relevant advice.
