Hickling Broad

As well as the residents of Hickling, members include people from surrounding villages, and even beyond. All are made very welcome.

u3a is a UK-wide collection of 1000+ local organisations that provide the opportunity for those no longer in work to come together, socialise, and learn for fun.

Hickling Broad u3a was formed in April 2012 and has gone from strength to strength, now with over 150 Members.

We meet on the second Friday of the month between 2:00pm and 4:00pm at Hickling Barn, Tate Loke, off Mallard Way, Hickling, NR12 0YU.

We aim to have a speaker or a presentation to entertain and enlighten us, covering a wide selection of topics followed by tea and a chat.

If you are retired, semi retired or approaching retirement, please come along – you will be made very welcome.

Our current annual fee will be £15 for the period 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.

Guests and visitors are always made welcome and if you would like to try before joining, we offer two 'taster' visits to our monthly meetings for £2 per visit or to an interest group, again for £2 per visit.

For more information click on the Contact tab above and you will be put in touch with the right person.

Click on the Groups tab above to take a look at what is on offer. Our groups take place at various venues – members' homes, Hickling Barn, and a few out in the fresh air such as sailing, cycling, walking and wildlife.
